How to Play

Setup

1. Add @EvilApplesBot to your Telegram group.

2. Type /startgame in the group to begin.

3. Everyone types /join to enter (minimum 2 players).

4. Type /deal when everyone is ready.

Each Round

  1. The bot posts a Prompt Card (the black card with a blank).
  2. One player is the Judge — they don't submit a card.
  3. All other players tap "View My Hand" to see their 7 cards in a private message.
  4. Each player picks their funniest answer card by tapping it.
  5. When everyone has submitted, the Judge sees all answers and picks the winner.
  6. Winner gets 1 point. First to 7 points wins the game!

Game Modes

Dr. Evil (AI Judge)

If there are fewer than 3 players, Dr. Evil (powered by Venice.ai) automatically judges the round — and roasts everyone's submissions.

Solo Mode

Play alone against AI opponents in any chat:

  1. Type /solo to start a game with 3 AI opponents.
  2. Type /solodeal to deal a round.
  3. Pick your card — Dr. Evil will judge and roast everyone.
  4. Type /soloend when done.

Tournaments

Organize multi-round competitive events in your group:

/tournament create <name> <rounds> — Create a tournament (e.g. /tournament create "Friday Fight" 5)

/tournament join — Join the active tournament

/tournament start — Start the tournament (creator only)

/tournament status — View current standings

/tournament end — End the tournament early

Custom Decks

Create and manage your own card decks:

/deck — Upload a CSV file with custom prompts and answers

/decks — View your custom decks

When starting a game, you can pick which deck to play with.
